Project Case Study

Gravity Septic System Installation

A new gravity septic system required tank placement, building sewer, distribution, lateral-field planning, excavation, stone bedding, backfill, and coordination with local approval requirements.
Project Overview

The planned gravity system included a 1,000-gallon septic tank, solid 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC building sewer, an equal-flow distribution box, perforated lateral piping, stone bedding, excavation, backfill, and rough site grading.

The Challenge

The final system has to fit the evaluated site, available area, excavation conditions, required stone quantities, building-sewer route, distribution layout, and inspection requirements.

Our Approach

Plumbed Perfect broke the project into the major components of the complete system: building sewer, septic tank, distribution box, lateral-field piping, stone bedding, excavation, backfill, and rough grading/restoration.

The Result

This project demonstrates the value of planning the entire septic system instead of treating the tank, sewer line, and lateral field as separate pieces.
